Partnership for a Healthier JC
The Mission of Partnership for a Healthier Johnson County is to plan and implement collaborative, measurable strategies to improve the health of the residents of Johnson County.
Partnership is a collaboration of many health partners including Johnson Memorial Hospital, Community Health Network, St. Francis Hospital and Health Centers, the Johnson County Health Department and hundreds of individuals from businesses, schools, social service agencies and civic and faith-based organizations.
Programs and Initiatives include:
ACCESS TO CARE - Free/low cost healthcare, dental resources and covering the uninsured
ASTHMA - Free asthma education programs
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH - Free Stories of Hope Event: "The New High"; provider resource guide
MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH - Free "Ready or Not, Here I Come!" prenatal program, "Bedtime Basics for Babies" program.
TOBACCO EDUCATION PROGRAMS
WELLNESS - "Get Healthy Franklin"; "Dump Your Plump"; "Game On! and Beyond" ; The "Ultimate Wellness Challenge" program for middle school students; speakers bureau; "Walks Across Johnson County"; "Cardiac Health Initiative"
